Digestive complaints in dogs can be caused by a wide range of factors. As in humans, the complaints are often diet-related. This can be anything from eating too much food or eating too quickly or changing food or eating something that is not good for them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The symptoms are not breed-specific, so from Golden Retriever to Chihuahua, the chances of nausea, gastrointestinal problems are just as high. However, older dogs are more susceptible to nausea than puppies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The heart is a muscle that pumps blood through the body, transporting oxygen, nutrients and waste products. If your dog has a heart problem, the blood is not being pumped around effectively. This can cause water and moisture to accumulate in organs such as your dog’s lungs, making him short of breath and less active. He may also lose his appetite, lose weight and fluid may accumulate in his abdomen giving rise to a swollen belly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Your dog’s diet is an important part of treating heart disease – you can make a difference for your dog. The right diet can delay the development of heart disease, reduce the need for medication and significantly improve your dog’s quality of life.
